Use this window to configure your Windchill Oracle Server properties. Information is written to the db.properties file in the Windchill db directory.
Note: When either the db.properties or the wt.properties files are updated, the Method Server must be restarted.
Enter information in the following fields:
Windchill Database Username — Enter the Oracle database sign-on username.
Windchill Database User Password — Enter the Oracle database sign-on password.
Oracle Database JDBC Connection — Set this property to enable the JDBC (Java Database Connectivity) connection so that the Windchill server can communicate with the Oracle server database.
Replace the default value, system:1521:sid, where system (or hostname) represents the location where Oracle is installed; where the port number (1521) represents the port number used by the SID; where the sid represents the Oracle SID name given when the Oracle Listener was configured.
A user example might be cosmo:1521:wind.
Oracle Home Directory — Enter the Oracle Home directory or click the Folder icon and use the Directory Browser navigational tool.
